A disabled lion who was reared by a double amputee zookeeper has formed an unlikely bond with a miniature sausage dog with the pair inseparable ever since the cat was a cub.
They weren't doing tricks for a zookeeper, advertising glacier mints or pulling a white witch's sleigh.
"They're old women now," said Louise Ginman, a senior carnivore zookeeper who has been looking after the bears for more than 10 years.
